The hotel is not an "up" experience, since it is surrounded by ugly slum like properties. I would try to find a property that has a better ambiance, even if not in the old town (which is not much to look at).

By far the worst hotel ever! How they get there quotation I don’t know but I guess it’s more by Asian guest. Breakfast as a real disaster, coffee not drinkable, croissants not eatable and really more for Chinese people. Welcome is more like a summary of prison rules than a welcome. I booked for 4 days but left after only one day. Took tree weeks to get my money back. Sure they were kind to cancel my booking. And if you’re in massage and Asian food it can be a nice place but for me it wasn’t. Sorry but I paid less in Shangri-La hotel and must say even with a much lower score it’s was like heaven ! Please check it out if you book it and make sure you like Asian food. I repeat it’s my personal opinion and probably not that of the majority of guest who highly recommend this place. I must thank them for being so kind as repaying

Hotel is tucked away in a nice quiet area. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It was nice having the spa next door and I recommend the roast chicken restaurant down the street. The only downside was bathtub design was slightly awkawrd and leaked around the tub when using the shower.

Our stay at this hotel exceeded expectations! Upgraded to a larger room on the 2nd floor room, although the view faced surrounding houses rather than the pool courtyard, the location in the Old Town is perfect. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea and a 10-minute head and shoulder massage, where we discovered our favorite masseuse from Makkha Health & Spa! The daily changing breakfast is great. The swimming pool, with its mineral water, provides a refreshing experience. The overall vibe is chill and relaxing with beautiful building decoration. Handwritten welcome and goodbye messages plus a tiny handmade gift — added a personal touch we loved! The only downsides are the slightly slippery bathroom floor (they provide extra anti-slip carpets), the bathroom’s design is a bit off, and curtains that could be more blackout. But overall, I’d love to come back!
